Transitions come in all sorts of different flavors; housing transitions, relationships transitions, work or promotion transitions, new baby transitions, illness transitions, elderly caregiver transitions, empty nest transitions, even back-in-the-office transitions.
If you’re going through a transition , even if you feel like it was wanted, it can feel overwhelming, off-balance, and like you simply aren’t strong enough to get it together.
But we’re here to support you in transitions and remind you that transitions are hard. We’re here to help you voice what’s going on, gain coping skills to handle it better, and maybe a bit of training in giving yourself a bit more grace in the situation.
Getting the chance speak to an outside professional about what we’re feeling and what we’re experiencing can really shift the loneliness, anxiety, and fears we sometimes carry around with transitions.
Talking helps make sense of our narrative, and the new roles we’ve taken on. Sometimes we don’t have access to intimate relationships or support systems for these needed conversations. And quite frankly, it’s nice to have a professional say, “it’s not you, it’s this whole crazy situation.”
Bring your transitions here. We’re here to support you through them. We’re going to help you challenge yourself and find out who you can be and what you can shape with that new transition.
All of our psychologists are able to work with transitions.
Right now Morag & Dr Claudine have openings and are able to do great work with adjustment difficulties
